John and Debbie are an online success story. It’s a little unusual to find real love and happiness through an online dating site but, had they both not taken the chance, they might never have found each other.
Debbie, obviously enamored by John’s handsome photo and intrigued by his profile, sent him a “wink”. When John saw Debbie’s photo, he saw in her eyes…a twinkle, and a very lovely smile. He winked back and, after a couple of emails, John called Debbie to chat. At first, things did not go well. John was actually registered, not on Debbie’s site but on a sister website and Debbie, who was lingering poolside at her condo, thought John was a solicitor for that web site and trying to get her signed up for that site as well. The first few minutes of their conversation were hazy and chaotic, even comical, but with the misunderstanding out of the way, things began to flow smoothly.
A few days later, they met at Starbucks for lattes and the coffee date wound up lasting almost four hours. They had so much in common. Two days later, it was dinner at an Italian restaurant and they have been together ever since.
As time passed, they fell deeply in love with one another and, soon, John proposed. His proposal was simple, intimate, and in a very personal setting. He placed a ring on her finger and Debbie said, “Yes”! |
The ceremony will be on the first day of summer (June 21) at a local restaurant with an ocean view and known for its champagne brunch. It will also be very non-traditional. The dress will be summer casual and absolutely NO suits or ties will be allowed. The cocktail hour will precede the ceremony and the groom’s best friend, Mr. Steven W. Jenkins, will officiate the proceedings. The ceremony will be followed by a sumptuous feast, champagne, and an open bar. The soft, warm guitar of Richard Leach (www.richardleach.net) will provide the perfect ambiance for the occasion.

John and Debbie both have work commitments that will postpone the honeymoon until Spring 2015, when they will be off to Barbados for 10 magnificent days of sun, sea, adventure, and fun. Also, rum! |
